Talulah is a much loved fashion label draped over the shoulders of some of Australia’s most chic women. They had worked with a few agencies and then ran campaigns in-house. But the same problems were always there. The approach was not focused, strategies were not performing, return on spend was too low and when they tried to scale, it got even worse.
The solution
After going through an extensive discovery and planning process, Nextwave implemented a range of paid growth strategies to improve sales from day one. By re-structuring the account, we were better able to optimize spend and set the foundation to scale. All of this enabled us to scale Talulah’s ad spend many times beyond previous levels, while maintaining a far more profitable return.

Working closely with the digital team at Talulah, we clarified goals, timelines, budgets and resources. We researched the various customer profiles and performed a competitive analysis. We then planned the various strategies and actions to reach the target customer. The plan was to attract, convince and convert visitors, and make them fall in love with Talulah range. We also segmented the marketing campaigns to provide value in every stage.
Optimise the website
Nextwave optimized the Talulah website to load faster. Poor performing apps were removed or consolidated into new ones. Security signals were improved along with allaying fears about trust, returns, and shipping. More payment methods were also added. Every single step of the sales funnel needed to be just right. Execute strategies, refine, report & repeat
Nextwave continues to work closely with the Talulah in-house digital team to execute the selected growth strategies across a variety of evolving channels. This involves daily monitoring of the ad spend and also the ROI of each channel and strategy. We are constantly refining, meetings, sourcing and jumping on opportunities when they present themselves. Underperforming strategies are killed and successful strategies expanded upon, all the while introducing new channels as they become optimal.
