Ecommerce Project Manager

LOCATION: Byron Bay      JOB TYPE: Full Time      SALARY: Based on experience

 

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Nextwave is looking for an experienced Ecommerce Project Manager to join its award-winning team. The purpose of the role is to manage multiple complex projects from scoping through to delivery, ensuring that products are beautifully and strategically merchandised, as per client briefs.

Primarily based in our Byron Bay studio, you will be working on a variety of different projects and will liaise closely with the client, whilst overseeing a geographically dispersed team of information architects, designers, developers and testers. As the primary point of contact you will manage customer expectations and communications, to ensure that all stakeholders are informed on the project status, with approval and sign off obtained for all major deliverables. This role will suit someone who is flexible, dynamic and experienced in stakeholder management.

 

EXPERIENCE

Ability to demonstrate sound understanding of the Ecommerce landscape through to delivery of large and complex projects encompassing strategy, user experience, design, build, test and deployment

In depth knowledge of Woocommerce and / or Shopify.

Exceptional listening, written and verbal communication skills

Proven track record in project management, with a minimum of 3 years filed experience, either within an agency, systems integration consultancy, or within an online/digital department of an established retailer

Comprehensive knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Waterfall project management

Extensive experience of resource management, including managing geographically dispersed multi-disciplined teams

Proven track record of working within dynamic, fast paced environments with ability to react quickly according to business changes

Financial planning, control and reporting efficiently and effectively to defined budgets

Proven track record of meticulous communications between senior key stakeholders and project sponsors

Ability to demonstrate sound understanding of process control, improvement and quality assurance programs

Ideally educated to bachelor degree level, within a relevant degree subject matter, or of graduate calibre.
